Welcome to Anambra Innovation Week 2024: Creating The Future of Africa, NOW

Mr. Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR has an agenda to transform Anambra into a digital and creative capital of Nigeria – a smart mega city. Mr. Governor established the Solution Innovation District (SID) to foster the growth of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Anambra State.
This event will be a platform to show Anambra to the
world and attract the world to Anambra State. The goal of Anambra Innovation Week is to position Anambra as the destination where the world looks forward to coming annually to witness and showcase the rapid technology-driven transformations, investments and projects shaping the economies of Anambra, Nigeria and Africa.

In the vibrant entrepreneurial landscape of Anambra State, a myriad of private micro, small and medium businesses flourish with remarkable success. However, in this era of rapid technological advancement, many of these enterprises are gradually harnessing the transformative power of technology. In the same vein, across the public sector and school system in the state, technology is still largely a new language. To change this narrative, Mr Governor set an agenda to transform Anambra into a digital and creative capital of Nigeria, a smart mega city and thus established the Solution Innovation District (SID), to champion the growth of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Anambra State.
SID champions the Anambra Technovation Revolution. Our vision with AIW 2024 is to inspire a paradigm shift, inspire businesses, public and private sectors to embrace innovation and infuse technology into their operations.

Day 1, 25th November 2024

Opening Ceremony – Laying the Foundation for Digital Transformation

Description:

The Opening Ceremony marks the start of Anambra Innovation Week 2024, setting the tone for the entire event. It brings together a diverse audience of students, startups, SMEs, and MDAs to explore the foundations of a thriving digital ecosystem. Key activities include inspirational speeches, panel discussions, and workshops designed to foster understanding and collaboration while introducing the context for the #Battle4Solutions competitions.

Objective:

Provide a unifying, informative start to the week, equipping all participants regardless of background with a common understanding of digital transformation and a collaborative mindset.

Day 2, 26th November 2024

Career Conference for Students and Young Professionals

Description:

This day is dedicated to guiding students and young professionals through the vast opportunities within the tech industry. Through keynotes, panels, and hands-on workshops, attendees will gain insights into diverse career paths, build essential digital skills, and explore resources for self-development. A parallel startup hackathon will inspire innovation and teamwork.

Digital Transformation Conference for SMEs, LGAs and MDAs

Description:

Day 3 focuses on how technology can drive efficiency, transparency, and growth for SMEs, LGAs, and government agencies (MDAs). Through keynote speeches, panels, and parallel masterclasses, participants will explore practical tools and strategies for digital transformation, with a spotlight on AI, blockchain, and data-driven governance.

Objective:

Foster the adoption of digital tools and platforms among businesses and MDAs, enhancing productivity, governance, and innovation.

Startup Conference and Tradenovation Fair for SMEs

Description:

This dynamic day combines health, innovation, and business development. The Healthy Living Run promotes wellness, followed by a full schedule of keynote speeches, fireside chats, and workshops tailored to startups and SMEs. Attendees will learn about funding opportunities, building scalable business models, and leveraging creative technology for disruption.

Objective:
